The anniversary creates lasting connections

Different institutions from Constance, the Lake Constance region, Germany, and Europe prepare for the anniversary together: culture, science, churches, tourism, and business work closely together, design events, and access issues from different perspectives. This European network will still exist after 2018.

Approximately 6,000 inhabitants lived in Constance at the time of the Council. The chronicler Richental counted over 70,000 visitors. The actual number of those present may have been lower, but the people of Constance accomplished a logistical feat with the support of the region. The 2014 - 2018 celebrations are also not possible without the region and the state of Baden-Württemberg.
